After receiving her Juris Doctor, she partnered with Bishop Stuart University in Mbarara, Uganda to open a Christian law school. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese and Japanese Studies and was a Christ College Scholar at Valparaiso University, and received a Juris Doctor from University of Wisconsin Law School.
